Del Rio is a large and colorful puzzle featuring the beauty of the desert.. There are donkeys, flowering cactus, lizards, birds, wild pigs, an owl, and so much more! I picked up this 30 year- old art print (which was framed behind glass) at a 2nd hand store and instinctively knew it would make a lovely puzzle! (I wish I had another copy. It turned out to be one of my favorites!) I put lots of color-line cutting into this one.

There is an average of 1.9 pieces per square inch. Puzzle has been handcut from 1/4" 5-ply Baltic Birch, a very strong wood that will last for generations to come! See enlarged side view below. I cut this puzzle by hand, carefully guiding the wood into the thin blade of a scroll saw, cutting off one piece at a time, using blades with a thickness of just 0.008! Approximate size is 19 1/4" X 15"

There are 32 figurals including my "key" signature piece (signed, numbered, and dated on the back.) Note the enhanced indian head figural and the huge amount of color-line cut figurals. There are 12 figurals of my own and an additional 20 (approx) that are color-line cut! All but 6 of the clc figurals are complex.

This puzzle was cut in my Standard Cut. Interlocks well overall but not every piece is fully interlocking. Some pieces will fall out if you pick up the puzzle but most of it should stay together with careful moving..

There are some tiny chips that splintered out of the back of the puzzle during cutting or sanding. Only apparent if you are studying the back of the puzzle. (does not affect the front of the puzzle).

Puzzle will come disassembled inside the beautiful wood box with sliding lid shown below. Made from solid oak (sides) and 3-ply oak (lid and bottom) and finished. My label is affixed to the outside of the box with the puzzle title, number, and piece count.

Note: This puzzle contains small pieces which may present a choking hazard to children. It has been designed for adults or older children and is not meant for young children.
