Flower
Medley is a
colorful puzzle featuring
two dropout/figural
combinations, an
irregular top edge and a
total of 20 figure pieces!
Puzzle
has been handcut from 1/4"
5-ply Finland
Birch, a very
strong wood that will
last for generations to
come! See enlarged side
view below. I cut this
puzzle by hand
the old-fashioned way,
carefully guiding the
wood into the thin blade
of a scroll saw, cutting
off one piece at a
time, using blades
with a thickness of just
0.008! Puzzle measures 11
3/4" X 10 1/4".
There is an
average of 1.7 pieces
per square inch.

There are 20 figurals
including my "key"
signature piece (signed,
numbered and dated on the
back). Not shown
above are the 4 daisies
and the girl with the
watering can.

This is the
4th time I have used the dropout/figural
combination
technique and there are two
of them in this puzzle!
The dropout around the
figural enhances its
appearance and makes it
stand out in the
completed puzzle. The
little girl is watering
the daisies below, so the
two dropout/figurals are
quite interactive
as well!

Puzzle was
cut in my Standard
Cutting Style.
Cut one piece at a time,
no two pieces are exactly
alike. Puzzle is highly
interlocking overall
and only a handful of
pieces fell out when
turning over the puzzle
for photos.

Puzzles come
disassembled inside the
beautiful wood
box with hinged
lid shown below. I
purchased this box new
and finished the outside
with stain and varnish. I
believe this is basswood.
My label is affixed
inside of the lid with
the puzzle title, number,
and piece count. This box
measures measures 8 1/2"
X 5 1/4" X 3 1/2"
high.
